Riverside visited Colville for a single game match up with Colville’s AA Legion club on Friday. The Rams defense failed to play up to potential and Colville took full advantage of Ram errors to mount a 14-7 victory. The Rams showed some heart coming back from a 4 run deficit early to get back to 4-3 in the 3rd. Then again, the Rams clawed back down 5 at 8-3 and were within a run in the 6th but shaky defense again in the bottom of the 6th proved fatal as Colville scored 6 more unearned runs. Liam Ross had a very solid outing for Riverside as the tall right hander struck out 8 over 4 innings. Hunter Kraches provided a stellar catch on a tough ball in the outfield for the Rams who fell to 3 & 6 on the young season.
Riverside gets the chance to rebound as the Rams visits Kellogg for a double header on Sunday at Teeter Field.
